Treatment for expats
Our practices are situated between the Hague (Den Haag), Amsterdam, and Rotterdam (only 20 minutes away). Children from the British School in Voorschoten, and the American school in Wassenaar choose us as preferred provider for comprehensive orthodontic treatment.
Dr Bas Njio is fluent in English, and Spanish. He has patients from all-over Holland, and even from Belgium, Germany and the United Kingdom.
Continuing treatment
If you already started orthodontic treatment we can continue this treatment for you. Clearly we will review the treatment so far, and we will revise the plan if necessary. Sometimes minor changes have to be made. Orthodontics for children and adults
Dr Bas Njio has followed 5 years basic dental education and an additional 4 years of orthodontic specialisation. He specialises in individualised orthodontic treatment for adults. At the start of treatment he will advise you on the various treatment options.
For complex problems we have teams of specialised dentists for: periodontics (gums); oral surgery; aesthetic treatments (bleaching and facings); etcetera. Our treatment for adults usually takes only 8 to 10 months to complete. We do not use headgear in adults. Tooth-coloured (white) braces and white wires are routinely used (see below for the system that we use).
Costs of treatment
All Dutch insurance companies refund (parts of) our fee. The amount of refund depends on your individual contract (your policy). We also have experience with BUPA.
- A first visit (consultation and a treament plan) costs 150 euro.
- An additional examination at the start of treatment costs 175 Euro.
- A treatment with fixed appliance (braces) costs 1500 to 1800 Euro.
